Busch Gardens is expanding this year’s Howl-O-Scream lineup with two original haunted houses drawn from the world of the film Anaconda. The attractions mark the first time Sony Pictures has licensed the movie to be adapted within a Halloween event setting.

Two distinct Anaconda experiences

Guests will be immersed in scenarios set deep in the Amazon, where the search for a missing film crew devolves into a desperate struggle for survival. Each park will host its own take on the concept:

  • Busch Gardens Tampa Bay: Anaconda: Fear Has No Escape
  • Busch Gardens Williamsburg: Anaconda: Dead on Arrival

The attractions promise unique storylines at each location while drawing on the same central mythos of the film.

Event context

The new houses will open with Howl-O-Scream on September 11 at both parks. Howl-O-Scream traditionally pairs haunted houses with immersive scare zones, live shows, and nighttime coaster runs; the Anaconda additions are being presented as part of that broader lineup.

Park leadership described the move as a way to deliver more immersive scares and enhance the overall event offering across Busch Gardens locations.
