Lionsgate is issuing new 4K UHD presentations of two very different genre titles: Adrian Lyne’s Jacob’s Ladder and Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects. Both releases aim to upgrade the home-video presentation and gather existing archival supplements; Jacob’s Ladder also receives a newly produced featurette.

Jacob’s Ladder (4K UHD)

The Jacob’s Ladder 4K edition is built from a new StudioCanal restoration. The transfer preserves film grain while improving shadow detail and overall image depth. The package includes a mix of archival materials alongside a new supplement titled “On the Rungs of Jacob’s Ladder,” a featurette featuring recollections from director Adrian Lyne, writer Bruce Joel Rubin and star Tim Robbins.

  • New StudioCanal restoration
  • New featurette: “On the Rungs of Jacob’s Ladder” (Lyne, Rubin, Robbins)
  • Two commentary tracks (Adrian Lyne; film historian Mike White)
  • Additional production featurettes and deleted scenes

The Devil’s Rejects (4K UHD)

Lionsgate’s 4K for The Devil’s Rejects delivers an improved theatrical-cut presentation with new packaging. Although this release is not formally part of the publisher’s Limited line, it offers the same high-end physical presentation that collectors expect, including steelbook artwork. Extras are sourced from archival material and include commentary and behind-the-scenes elements.

  • Theatrical cut only
  • Steelbook artwork included
  • Archival supplements: two commentaries (Rob Zombie; main cast), deleted scenes, faux commercials, making-of featurette, blooper reel

Both packages emphasize presentation improvements for viewers who want a more detailed and textured image on 4K displays, while also assembling supplemental material for fans and collectors. The Jacob’s Ladder release notably adds a new interview-driven piece that revisits the film’s production and creative intentions.
