The series is described as following Colonel Lee Shaw (Russell) and a covert 1984 mission aimed at preventing the Soviets from unleashing a catastrophic Titan. Specific character details for the newly announced cast members have not been disclosed.
This development forms part of Legendary’s ongoing expansion of its Monsterverse, which began with its 2014 Godzilla reboot. The wider franchise continues on the big screen as well, with the next film installment, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, listed for release in 2027.
