German actor Matthias Schweighöfer has been reported to have joined the cast of The Conjuring: First Communion, a new entry in the Conjuring Universe from Warner Bros. and New Line. Production is underway on the film, which carries a scheduled theatrical date of September 10, 2027.
Casting and creative team
Reports name Garrett Wareing and Amanda Fix as performers set to portray younger versions of Ed and Lorraine Warren, respectively. It remains unspecified whether Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will return to portray older iterations of the Warrens in any capacity.
Rodrigue Huart is attached to direct, working from a screenplay by Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg.

The Conjuring: First Communion will add to the studio’s long-running shared universe. Previous entries include:
