The new crime thriller THE DESPERATE, which mixes brutal crime elements with horror-leaning material, has surfaced with a poster, exclusive photos and premiere details. The production comes from Cut 2 the Chase Entertainment in association with Diyne Media and New Way Productions.

The film’s storyline centers on an underworld of organ trafficking in which human beings are treated as commodities. When a sequence of ill-fated schemes goes wrong, a store manager and his wife — who works as a waitress — are forced into flight and become fugitives. Their escape pits them against law enforcement, a vigilante figure and a violent antagonist.
Premiere and ticketing
- World premiere screenings are scheduled for Wednesday, September 30 and Thursday, October 1 at The Historic State Theater in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
