A tense body-horror thriller about a man who becomes entangled in the fallout from his ex-wife’s experimental psychotherapy. As Dr. Hal Raglan’s aggressive treatment for repressed anger appears to produce real, violent manifestations, the patient Nola Carveth begins to generate small, deformed children who carry out brutal acts. Her estranged husband Frank investigates the link between the therapy and a string of attacks, leading to escalating confrontations that expose the clinic’s methods and culminate in lethal, ambiguous consequences for the family and the ‘brood’ they unwittingly created.
