Independent studio Dog Food Productions has shared the first trailer for The Atlas Field (2026), the new feature from director and screenwriter Sid Lucero. The preview highlights Lucero’s continued interest in minimalist, atmospheric storytelling that leans on psychological dread and surreal imagery rather than conventional genre shocks.
Premise and tone
The Atlas Field follows two estranged brothers, Daniel and Henry, played by Giuseppe Pestillo and Davide Fusinato. Daniel, who is living with a terminal illness, persuades Henry to return with him to a mountain they once visited as children. What begins as a final, intimate pilgrimage takes an unsettling turn when the pair encounters a wilderness enveloped by anomalous phenomena.
The film frames its conflict around a nearby operation run by Sirevo, a private corporation whose activities in the area have drawn scrutiny. As the brothers push deeper into the landscape, the environment appears to warp familiar rules of time and memory, forcing them to face a reality that resists easy explanation.
Creative background and release
Lucero has built a reputation for eschewing traditional horror mechanics in favour of explorations of alienation, guilt, and fractured identity. The Atlas Field is described as a continuation of that approach and sits alongside his earlier works, including Pink for the Masses, The John Perkins Tapes, Sehnsucht, and Transcendental.

The newly posted trailer concentrates on mood—hostile natural vistas, mounting tension between the brothers, and imagery that suggests time and memory are in flux. It offers an early look at a film that prioritises psychological unease and interpretive visuals over straightforward explanation.
