First look: Tuned In
Spanish developer Vercors Games has shared the first images from Tuned In and opened a Steam page where players can add the title to their wishlist. Described by the studio as an “ever-shifting anthology of nightmares,” Tuned In draws creative inspiration from the experience of manually tuning old television sets and discovering unexpected images behind each click.
The project presents multiple short stories, each rooted in a different horror subgenre. Early materials highlight a range of visual approaches — from heavy-ink, shadow-driven slasher sequences to muted, grainy passages that evoke folk horror — unified by a visceral graphic-novel visual treatment.
- Platform listing: Steam and Steam Deck (launch planned for 2027).
- Format: an anthology of interlinked episodes with an ever-changing lineup of scenarios.
- Style: strong graphic-novel aesthetic with subgenre-specific textures.
According to the studio, the player will be trapped within a cursed television broadcast controlled by a dark entity. Gameplay snippets and the developer’s description emphasize puzzle-based survival, morally fraught choices, and a branching narrative in which players will both meet and impersonate other survivors. The way a player manipulates the old TV’s controls is said to influence who manages to escape, as the boundaries between signal and reality blur.
Vercors Games has also announced an upcoming Kickstarter campaign. Those who register ahead of that campaign will be granted access to a free prologue, which the studio intends to release shortly. The Steam page is live for wishlisting now, where the first images and basic project information are available.
Watchers of indie horror and gamers drawn to anthology formats now have visual material to evaluate, and a tangible way to follow development through Steam and the forthcoming Kickstarter prologue.
