American actor, dancer and painter Adrienne King (born July 21, 1960) is best known in horror circles as the original Final Girl, Alice Hardy, in the landmark slasher Friday the 13th. After early screen work outside the genre, King returned repeatedly to horror as a performer and interview subject—appearing in features and retrospectives that examine slasher cinema and Gothic-tinged terror. Her later credits include contemporary horror films as well as several documentaries and oral histories that chronicle the cultural impact of Jason Voorhees and the slasher boom.
